Women and Girls
Evolving feminine wisdom comes from a renewed effort toward understanding
our female bodies, reflecting on our earthly experience and communing
with other women. Working with the relationships of personal biography,
feminine physiology, and earthly rhythms provides a pathway for us as
women to share our wisdom.
It is my experience that adolescents are healthiest in a community
environment that is warm and supportive. Toward this
end, I have developed
a
wide range of workshops and events to nurture and support your community's
social life.
We, as women, have been taught to be invisible in so many ways. Rites of Passage after 56 years old and after menopause give us an opportunity to celebrate all we have accomplished in our lives.
The feminine qualities available to both women and men- heart logic, interdependent perception, empathy and intuition, continue to be lacking in the world.

The women's workshop is open to all women in the community. These
workshops create a space for women to share their wisdom and experiences
with each other and with girls preparing for maidenhood.
All workshops will engage our memories, thoughts, feelings, hands, and
hearts through artistic activity, contemplation, listening and conversation.
They are usually one-day workshops from 10 am to 3 pm.

I offer the first workshop for mothers in preparation for participation
in subsequent workshops - the Woman-Maiden Circles.
Women's Gatherings
The Nurturing Woman to Welcome the Maiden
Workshop will educate and support women and help build
a foundation in the community that can encourage girls to celebrate
becoming young women. This first workshop prepares for participation
later in Women-Maiden Circles and a Coming-of-Age Celebration. The
women's workshop is open to all mothers in the community.
This workshop allows women to come together to share biographies and
our hopes and fears for the maiden, discover the Menstrual Matrix
and review the Female Fertility Cycle.
Woman-Maiden's Circles
There are three possible Women-Maiden's Circles, each focusing on the age appropriate stages of education and self-development. I offer circles to fifth/sixth and seventh/eighth grade families.

Moon Menstrual Pads
These menstrual pads were created in 1997 when I discovered that there existed the possibility to use cloth as menstrual pads. Pad covers are 100% cotton flannel. I made them for myself. They lasted until the end of menopause- over six years! I soaked then washed them in cold water in the machine and dried them in the dryer. My sons didn’t mind.
Pad kits ready to close by zigzagging on a sewing machine.
